In this archive you will find photos of locations along route 66, sorted by location and date so as to give you a timeline of that location.
The photos are sorted by state and location and have the naming convention date-town-location name-author(if known).
19xx - The photo was likely taken somewhere between 1900 and 1999
192x – The photo was likely taken between 1920 and 1929
1924 – The photo was likely taken in 1924
A month and day are added if they are known.
The order of the town numbering is the order in which you encounter them when travelling from east to west.
The archive is and will remain free of charge and the photos are donated by many different people. If the maker of the photo is known the name is added to the photo name.
